Beaconstac operates in the proximity marketing space. A niche that’s hyper-competitive in organic search. Arguably one of the most competitive niches around with a keyword difficulty level above 90 (ahrefs) for many of their core target search terms. As such, they compete with domains that have millions of backlinks for their core keywords.
When Beaconstac joined us, they had built some solid foundations and were looking to scale their traffic and revenue by promoting content across their customer buying cycle.

Content strategy varied from targeting long-tail keywords with long-form blog posts to continuously optimising underperforming content on the site. Another simple but effective strategy was to create articles based on popular customer questions asked through the website live chat, demos, or email communications. Beaconstac’s team have done a fantastic job
Beaconstac’s team have continually done a fantastic job at fulfilling their side of the equation. From smart overarching strategy to sound technical on-site SEO — the expertise of their team perfectly complemented the off-page strategies we executed for them.
Off-page strategies we used included a mix of Guest Posts and Herd links.
We did some limited work with this client in 2020 but the majority of the work took place from the start of 2022. This is when we really took things to the next level with scale — working on Guest Posts and adding on Herd Links shortly afterwards for Beaconstac.

Beaconstac has gone from roughly 52,000 organic traffic visitors back in October 2020 to over 386,000 visitors per month at the time of writing. We’ve observed this stratospheric growth across the site, from competitive short-tail keywords to service pages and long-form blog posts. The adoption of Herd Links in early 2022 correlates with the surge from 144,000 to 386,000 monthly visitors in the same year.

This is a great example of a cohesive content strategy that incorporates sound technical on-page work with smart off-page promotion. We certainly can’t take all the credit for these gains, but working closely with the Beaconstac internal team helped us drive huge impact through our link acquisition services.
